Ambassadorships are an important attraction to traveling for many ensembles. In addition to the opportunity to leave behind the impressions of their music, many are heartened to include a service-first approach to their itinerary. Performing in schools, hospitals, retirement villages, and for the troops, there is a special satisfaction in providing good will and uplifting moments for often overlooked members of society.
You may wish to perform for a community charity, entertain local troops, or spend the day at an orphanage mentoring the children’s musical interests, and perhaps gifting a donation of clothing along with the sound of your music. Studying opera? You might provide a recital to the retirees at Casa Verdi, a rest home for musicians in Milan. The opportunity to add a service element to your performance tour allows your ensemble to bestow their good will, as well as the happy memories of their musical song.
