Joint Performances & Exchanges

Participate in a joint concert and accompany a local ensemble on and off stage, for a shared performance.  Most joint events also provide an opportunity for cultural exchange, and what better way to fully appreciate the destination you are traveling to than to share time with local musicians.   You can choose a double billing, or challenge your ensemble to develop a musical selection “across the pond” in preparation for a joint rehearsal and performance at your venue.

We can organize dinners or receptions prior to or after the performance, so that both groups can spend further time together in celebration of your music.  Forge new friendships with your international counterparts, and perhaps return home with a new musical technique or piece of music.  A joint performance and exchange may be just the inclusion you are looking for on your next performance tour.

Blue Mosque at Sunset

Blue Mosque at Sunset

DESTINATION: Istanbul, Turkey

Istanbul is a progressive city that bridges Europe and Asia, and dates to the 7th millennium.  A cultural hub for many different religions, and one of the few places you can find a mosque that was previously a church.  Its location is around the Borphorus Strait, a pristine water channel that connects the Sea of Maramara with the Black Sea.

FUN FACT:  The Grand Bazaar is one of the largest covered markets in the world, with over five thousand shops spanning more than 60 streets.
