Our name Tumlare is actually shared with a species of bottle nose dolphin living in the Scandinavian waters near our founding office in Copenhagen, and the twin dolphins swimming in unison are represented as a symbol of a harmonious collaboration with our clientele.
Throughout our 40 years, the dolphin has well exemplified the commitment we make to our partners. Sea faring folklore tells of many stories of the dolphin as a friend to those traveling and in need; dolphins are a symbol of luck, and have lead captains to both safety and good fortune.
As a division that enjoys and respects the music of our traveling ensembles, Maestro by Tumlare is heartened to share Tumlare’s dolphin mascots, who are well known for their communication and song. We hope you like them too!
DESTINATION: Athens, Greece
One of the most idyllic places to go, Athens lies on the pristine Aegean Sea. Most noted for its Roman history, Athens is home to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Acropolis and the Daphni Monastery. Famous names such as Socrates, Pericles, and Sophocles called this city their birthplace. The atmosphere is also a modern one with markets around many corners, live music and nightlife galore.
FUN FACT: Each station in the Athens metro has pieces of artwork by modern Grecian artists, and some have historic treasures that were discovered during the construction of the metro system.
